Hi, question about 2010;

Does it still check for license and cause random IDE crashes like the last updates from 2009?

No it doesn't throw fake exceptions any more apparently. However it calls home and sends information. Be careful.

It's just call home in shop.codegear.com or shop.embarcadero.com or there's other calls to home? (just curious)

I have installed comodo firewall and I block bds.exe and setup.exe.(for updates). Do you think I'm safe?

I installed RAD Studio with a different serial number (available from torrent) but when I run delphi distiller 1.75 it had a diff serial number. So when I tried to register the Delphi with Serial number supplied by distiller, the license is reset and now my delphi is not starting. Is there any way I can replace the serial number in RAD Studio to what is provided by Delphi Distiller or the one available on torrents.

@banita21
There are other executables that should be watched just in case, for example BDSLauncher.exe and bdsreg.exe.
I would ban everything under C:\Program Files\Embarcadero\RAD Studio\7.0\bin.

@msonu1975
You can delete all your licenses from
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Embarcadero

(folder name may vary under the Broken OS)
